This colorway has different meanings to me. I’ve always loved birds but recently because of something my toddler said we started putting out food and water and birdhouses for the birds in our area and my husband and I became interested in birding. So I knew I wanted to do a bird for this month because of my love of nature and animals.
When deciding which bird to do I thought about doing a really fun colorful bird even if I hadn’t spotted it yet but ultimately decided to do one off my life list. There are a lot of cardinals in my area especially in a park we like to go to but this choice came because of my mom. Not only is she a fan of the St. Louis cardinals but she also loves the bird. I have fond memories of her excitement from seeing one in our backyard and pointing at it.
Cardinal is not a true a true tonal. It’s a combination of 3 different reds for subtle shifts in color just like their plumage.
Cardinal is also the sock set of the month. The accompanying tonal is black because male cardinals have black around their beaks.

Questions You May Have
Can I wash superwash yarn in the washing machine?
Yes you can. However I recommend that you hand wash all garments made with hand dyed yarn. This helps keep your garment in better quality for a longer time.
Will hand dyed yarn bleed color when I wash it?
While I do everything in my power to get all the color into the yarn sometimes color will still bleed. For the first wash I recommend that you wash your finished item with a color catcher. This is especially true of more vibrant and bold colors.
Where do you ship?
I ship to most countries. I however cannot ship to the EU at this time due to GDPR laws. I am actively working on fixing this.
When will my order ship out?
For instock yarn and fiber please allow 3 days for orders to ship. For dyed to order yarn and fiber it can take up to 2 weeks for your order to ship. If you order both a dyed to order product and an instock product your order will ship together.
